Gisele Bündchen, the supermodel whose image embodies glamour and achievement, recently shared a surprising truth. On “The View,” she revealed a hidden battle with panic attacks and depression during her twenties, a stark contrast to the picture-perfect life she presented to the world [E! Online].

Bündchen’s career skyrocketed at a young age. By 14, she was already modeling professionally, and by her early 20s, she was a global phenomenon. The relentless pace and pressure, however, took a toll. “I wasn’t taking care of myself,” Bündchen admitted. “I was just going nonstop, until these terrifying panic attacks started in my twenties. I didn’t know what was happening.”

The panic attacks were a nightmare for Bündchen, plaguing her for over a year and a half. Feeling lost and confused, she consulted specialists but found no relief. Her story sheds light on the often-unseen mental health struggles faced by models and other high-profile figures in demanding and scrutinising industries.

A turning point came in the form of a naturopath who focused on the root cause of her issues – her lifestyle. The naturopath recommended significant changes, including a healthier diet, better sleep habits, and regular exercise. “I told him everything I consumed – the drinks, cigarettes, coffee – everything,” Bündchen recalled. “He looked at me and said, ‘Listen, Adrenaline’ (he even gave me a nickname!), you need to stop all that right now.'”

Bündchen embraced these changes, incorporating meditation, yoga, and breathwork techniques into her daily routine. Looking back, she describes this period as “one of the worst times” but ultimately transformative. “After a year and a half of what was undeniably a very difficult time, everything changed,” she said. “It was like I became a completely different person.”

Bündchen’s story is a powerful reminder that mental health struggles can impact anyone, regardless of wealth or fame. Her openness about her journey can inspire others to seek help and make positive changes for their well-being.
